Very Brief Synopsys
-------------------

Xuru is the task scheduling/background computation management daemon. Used
in conjunction with Xortoth (the 3-tier repository service), Xentark (the
native ab initio computational engine) and a client capable of requesting
scheduled events (such as Xykron, the monolithic cilent), Xuru can be used
to manage a "compute farm".

As many Xuru nodes as desired may be run on a network, one per computer.
The nodes are setup to volunteer their services whenever a task that they
are capable of performing comes up; as such, they will poll the Xortoth
server(s) for tasks waiting to be performed. This allows allocation of
resources for many computations to be setup once, then left to run without
further maintenance, rather than manually executing calculations on their
respective machines.
